I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your despatch No.194 of the 27th of March, and to

inform you that I approve of a bonus of $1000 being

granted to Mr.B.C.X.Hawkins, Cadet officer, in recognition

of his services us Secretary to the Economie Commission.

2. The Crown Agents for the Colonies are being

requested to pay to Mr. Hawkins the sterling equivalent

of the amount in question.
